Melbourne Water Funding Available
Melbourne Water’s ‘Water Sensitive Farm Design’ is a pilot program to help beef and dairy farmers reduce run-off and improve the quality of water leaving their properties.
Beef and dairy farmers in the Upper Bass and Upper Lang Lang catchments can apply for funding through the program.
Melbourne Water can pay up to 50% of the cost (including labour and materials) of a broad range of works and activities designed to reduce run-off and improve the quality of water leaving the farm.
The types of works and activities that may be funded include constructing or upgrading tracks, bridges and sediment traps, installing [water recycling systems], and protecting streamside vegetation.
Contact Bruce Gardner, he will arrange to come on-farm, and advise on the types of works, activities and funding opportunities that are available to you ph. 03 5997 2469, m.0409 196 147
