Wet Conditions

It has been a very wet start to the year across much of Gippsland.  To the end of April Fish Creek in the region's south had received over 500 mm, half the average annual amount!
With the wet conditions comes management concerns such as mastitis, track maintenance, soil damage and lameness. Information on managing wet conditions is available from Dairy Australia.

  1. Just read Milk Maid Marians post about this as well (http://milkmaidmarian.wordpress.com/2011/04/28/where-theres-mud-theres-mastitis/) it is obviously a very serious problem...

    Hopefully everything works out ok!

  2. Hi Robbie,
It has been a very wet 12 months in many parts of Victoria. What ever the conditions there is rarely a dull moment when farming, just the next challenge!
Meanwhile, the sun is out which is great!
    Really enjoying Maid Marians blog.
    Bye for now.
