What does climate change mean for Gippsland dairy?

The latest climate projection models for the Gippsland region show that by 2030 it is likely that:
  • average temperatures will increase
  • the amount of rainfall will decrease and there will be a change in the seasonal rainfall patterns
  • evaporation rates will increase;
  • droughts could become more frequent or longer;
  • the amount of run-off will be reduced;
  • and there will be an increase in daily rainfall intensity and in the number of dry days.
