Chicory - any good for your farm?

Over recent years we have seen more and more farmers take up chicory as a fodder option.  The greatest uptake seems to be in the western are of our region.

To explore the plant and its potential further, an information session is planned for Thursday September 22nd.  The short & informative session will be held at the Trafalgar Football Club rooms from 11 am until 2 pm with an optional site visit to look at a paddock of chicory afterwards.

Neil Land from Intelact will speak together with 3 farmers who will share their experiences with using the plant in their dairy systems -  John Vesteden (above), Andrew Balfour & Daryl Hammond.

Lunch is provided, please RSVP to Gillian Hyaman 0428345493.
