Today at Alberton

Around 40 people attended the first of Gippsland's Future Ready Dairy events today.

Thanks to Stuart & Jenny Bland for hosting the day

Neil Lane from Intelact was one of the speakers. He, together with Stuart & Jenny told the story of how the farm has adapted to the variable climate they have seen on their farm. While perennial pastures remain the mainstay of the diet, cereal silage, PKE & hay are used to fill strategic feed gaps.
Zita Ritchie from DPI talked weather facts & figures while Greg O'Brien from the DPI spoke about the Adaptive Forage Planning Project and what grows well in the area.

More photos over the next few days
