The DPI has a decision support tool called
Feedout Checkout. It is a tool designed to help dairy farmers make sound economic decisions on the viability of different supplementary feeding systems for their herd. The program allows users to make initial assessments of investments in feeding infrastructure and plant they are considering for their farm. Supporting information on key biophysical and financial considerations is provided for each of the inputs along the way.
