Around 40 people attended the business forum in Yarram today - 'Managing the Dairy Roller Coaster Ride'
Judy Johnson, pictured above was the MC and the speakers were (L-R) Colin Wright (Philipson's Accounting), Neil Baker (Macalistar Demonstration Farm) & John Mulvany (On Farm Consulting).
Some of the key messages were - cashflow budgets are like the GPS in the car, you need to know where you are headed. Business risk is about balancing lots of complex things within the system and is underpinned by good management and a carbon future is coming but it may not affect the average dairy farmer in Gippsland.
